The summer is all about throwing together super simple salads with seasonal ingredients. Think fresh, juicy strawberries, and creamy avocado.
It’s too hot and time consuming in the summer to do much more than quickly throw a salad together.
Today’s recipe is 4 ingredients (plus dressing) and it’s something you can bring to a cookout easily, or make ahead of time and leave in your fridge for a few days.
Healthy eating does not have to include a lot of time consuming recipes!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 pint of strawberries
- 1lb container of spring mix
- 1/3 cup slivered almonds
- 1 Avocado
Directions:
Slice the strawberries and avocado. Add all ingredients to a large bowl and mix well.Feel free to top this delicious salad with any desired protein.
What really makes this salad is this particular dressing: Brianna’s Homestyle Blush Wine Vinaigrette Dressing, which you can also find at Whole Foods. It does not have strawberries in it, but it pairs so well with them.
