Tea Shampoo? It’s For You!

Back in July I was on a road trip with my sister and some friends to Williamsburg, VA. While we were there we checked out the amazing Williamsburg Farmer’s Market (the 3rd largest in the country), located in Colonial Williamsburg square.

There were seriously so many vendors, and the vegetables looked so fresh and amazing!

At the market, I stopped at this little stand called “Virginia’s First Tea Farm.” I am obsessed with tea so I had to check it out, and I was so surprised to find it was actually a stand selling soaps and cleansers made out of…tea!!  On their website they state:

“Virginia First Tea Farm was founded on the belief that nature’s way is the best way, which is why we developed our own personal care and cleaning products that harness the power of green tea…Green tea’s antiviral, antibacterial properties make it an ideal ingredient in household cleansers, while its antioxidants and anti-inflammatories enrich skin and hair with unique nourishment and vitality.”

Sistas at the Farmer’s Market!!

I knew I wouldn’t mind my hair having some all-natural nourishment and vitality, so I purchased a trial size of their All-in-One Natural Tea Shampoo & Conditioner (Peppermint and Green Tea). The lady who works there was so sweet and informed about how the products were made, and she even let me trial one of their soaps!

Ingredients in the Shampoo include Nettles, Black Tea Extract, Green Tea Extract, Olive Oil and Grapefruit Oil. It does NOT contain any sulfates, dyes, parabens, sodium chloride, synthetic fragrances, or hidden ingredients.

I decided to test it out a few times before blogging about it. I picked this shampoo because it is supposed to strengthen hair roots, prevent hair loss, and soothe scalps. I noticed that this shampoo left my scalp with an amazing tingling feeling (which I’m obsessed with). My hair definitely looked shinier, and the shampoo smelled amazing. It is one of the better all natural shampoos out there, and I would definitely recommend it. I am excited to use this in the winter months especially when my scalp becomes so dry and itchy. My only con was that this would suffice for me as a conditioner, so I’ve definitely continued to use one with this shampoo.

I’m definitely trying to become more cautious of the beauty products I use on my skin, and therefore this shampoo is a win! For 18.99 you can purchase a really decent sized bottle here. (I’m still using the sample size, it lasts a long time!) Can’t wait to try out more of their products soon.

Have a great #WineNotWednesday!
