Pumpkin Nog Coffee!

I’ve definitely been MIA lately, but that’s because of a host of computer issues, so I’m glad to be back blogging again.

Recently, I’ve been all about this Pumpkin Nog Cold-Brewed Coffee. For those of you unfamiliar with the amazingness that is cold brew, this refers to the process by which the grounds are steeped in room temperature or cold water for a 12-24 hour brew time. The beans never come in contact with hot water! A benefit of this is that cold brewed coffee is lower in acidity, and may taste sweeter than conventional coffee. The steeped coffee becomes a concentrate, and you have to add water/milk in a 50/50 ratio in order to drink it. (Source)

Most markets sell a bottled cold brew concentrate. I purchased this brand Chameleon Cold-Brew, which is organic, and comes in a variety of flavors. Stop and Shop sold it in original, vanilla, and mocha.

I also bought Silk Almond Nog in Pumpkin Spice! Cold brew can be enjoyed hot or cold. For my morning beverage, I’ve been adding ice to my cute pumpkin mason jar, then filling it up halfway with cold brew. The other half is a mixture of water and the pumpkin spice nog. So good!

I also love enjoying the cold brew warm with a good book!

Let me know if you try it. 🙂
