For some reason, it is never easy to acquire the tools you need to do your job effectively, and I really let that affect me today. I even continued to be in a bad mood when I got home, and it took me a while to get over it. That’s when I realized that I had to pull myself out of it. There was no way I was going to let that place ruin a beautiful day, especially when I have so much to be thankful for. I have to know that I value myself, and that I can’t let anything interfere with my worth. It definitely took a while to reach this realization, but I did so by taking some time away from the issue to go for a quick swim and to take a walk. Nature really does have restorative properties.
Tomorrow, I can’t wait to get my hands on this book F*ck Feelings by Michael I Bennett MD, and his daughter, Sarah Bennett. They describe it as the “anti” self-help book and mention that it is about “not letting your emotions cloud how you view problem-solving.” I love to read about different perspectives that are truly unique, as they really can alter your own perspective for the better. Can’t wait to check it out!
Hope everyone has an amazing and productive week!
